Biography

Crave It Restaurant Group was founded in 2013 by Alex Rechichi, Mark Rechichi and Sean Black.  The three founders have founded and or developed many successful brands during their careers opening close to 400 restaurants. Crave It is currently growing two unique brands Via Cibo- Italian Street Food and Bangkok Buri - Thai kitchen Prior to founding Crave It in 2001 the partners co-founded Extreme Brandz. It became the parent company of Extreme Pita, Mucho Burrito and PurBlendz with over 350 franchised restaurants around the world.  Extreme Brandz was acquired in 2013 by MTY FOOD GROUP. Immediately following the sale  Crave It Restaurants was established. Crave it managed the growth of a number of Brands including The Burger's Priest, Via Cibo, Bangkok Buri and Fresh Plant Powered. Crave it recently sold it's interest in The Burger's Priest and Fresh Plant Powered to Recipe Unlimited in Q2 2021. Under their direction, all of the brands experienced significant growth in the number of units and profitability even throughout the COVID 19 Pandemic. The Burger's Priest grew from 2 corporate locations to 27 corporate locations and Fresh Plant Powered added many new locations and Extreme Brandz went from 1 location in 1997 to 350 locations in 2013 earning multiple awards:

  • 2006 Pinnacle Award for entrepreneurs of the year
  • Extreme Pita named top 100 leading global franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine
  • The Burger's Priest - Toronto's Best Burger -Now Magazine 5 Years in a Row
